People want success to happen for them really quickly, and I was always of the mindset of respecting the art form, respecting the people that came before me, and respecting the craft. Have good teachers. Find your own. What is your method of acting? [Don't copy] somebody else's method and try to approval-seek but finding what works for you ... That was success, not necessarily making a whole bunch of money or fame ... It's always been more about the craft.

When you play a real person, a lot of times... you're a painter—you're choosing what parts and perspectives you want to show because it's impossible, sometimes, to show everything and make people follow the story. So, it's a decision.
