To be interested in something before it's sexy, before it has the potential to make you a lot of money, I think, is pretty, pretty important. Otherwise, I think you're just going to get out-run. The NFT marketplaces that are doing well today are not the ones that were started in 2021; they're the ones that were started in 2017/2018.

I am an engineer, I'm a designer, I can build Gumroad all day long. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around crypto. So, I'm really interested in how do you really lower the barrier of entry, lower the activation energy, required to actually ship value and create value in the crypto ecosystem.

I personally believe that your workplace is not responsible for your mental health. You should find professionals. You should find people in your life; you should have friends and family and all these sorts of things outside of work...

I would dream to have Gumroad be a DAO, to have Gumroad be a place where I can just empower people to make their own decisions.

The simple analogy that we use whenever we onboard people to Gumroad and when I talk about it [and] write about it publicly is it's like working on an open source project except you get paid for it, and it's not actually open source.

A lot of the people at Gumroad specifically choose to work at Gumroad because they have another thing that, frankly, they think is more important than Gumroad.

Even though 10% of my portfolio is crypto... 80% of the pitches I hear nowadays have some crypto component to it.
