then one of those what's an underground Chicago party.
It's like all the parties. Were you like you can't like legally, do parties? I guess. So. Like warehouses and shit like that. Fuck. I go to one of those. Yeah. You
can't get into the underground. Yeah. See you're already. You're already a DJ and I give you don't get, don't get too into the fucking house dance music.

though. So where does it elevate From The Underground, Chicago, parties?
So then you like, do the clubs and stuff, but is mostly because, like, I couldn't get back to the club because like no one knew who I was and stuff. So it's like the DIY parties and check that
when does it kind of like change where you start to get like
booked. Well, so releasing music and stuff, and your music starts to blow up. So, my first song that like really blew up was called Deep End, which was like during covid, you know, is like just like a popular fuck.
Going Tick-Tock sample. What I found on the internet which I did not expect to blow up whatsoever and then from there I started doing all like the illegal kind of parties and Florida during covid because I was the spot to be. And then from there it just all
started so we you're partying a lot during covid to
oh yeah. That's why I live in Miami. That's where I got all my friends because there every single week
we were doing that to, we were getting so much shit. We almost got like our YouTube channel deleted. They sent this like an email and said, like they said it was like off platform
responsibility.
Like too far away from each other or something.
No, we're just fucking like weird. We just had to keep our business going, traveling partisan, it
was. Yeah. I'm not going to like stop playing music. I mean, that's what I do every
week. Yeah. You literally have no choice. Sort of The Tick-Tock sound that use resampled. That's what really helps get your name going. Well, kind of. Cuz
then I got signed to a big label called Defector that's in the UK. And then, from there, like, kind of like that, put like my name out there and then from there, I released a new song like every three weeks for like,

yeah. Where'd you drop rate where you dropping like the tracks on at that time, like all platforms or
so, I was already signed a label is like, starting from 2016. So yeah, I've been around for a minute, but all it takes is like that. One big break in this and then it's kind of non-stop. Well,
at that time where you like, was that like your strategy to drop a lot of shit or you just kind of fucking around
shotgun approach. Because I mean, I mean, I'm sure it's gone the same for you guys and you started out as like you do every viral things. Yeah, exactly. And then once you go viral one,

So I would say like in a touring side things everyone makes their own music but then I still play other people's music to and I do edits everything and then the DJ just other people people like play other people's songs. Those are the DJ's you go to like the clubs and like kind of like not the ones you see headlining festivals. Yeah.
So to be the headliner, you got to be

So I've agents for that. Yeah, it's supply and demand and yeah, the money I'm making now is obviously a lot different than like the year before and like I mean in 2020 before 2020 as a full-time DJ I quit accounting like 2019. I was making like 750 a gig total like that would be a good
night for
$750 in which I would say that's like the typical DJ but
If I'm selling 10,000 tickets, you know, $100 each, then you kind of do the
math. If he liked the same for every kind of venue or does it change lined up
vulgus to up? So it's a little like less than Europe than America right now because, obviously, America's fucking massive and then Vegas or something can be pretty high. Cuz like last time I played Vegas, the guy behind me. He spent 250 K on his table and he was buying 75,000 Dollar Bottles of aces of Spades, which I think you can buy like at Benny's for 750.

And then the guy who like far the club he's like yeah, he just paid 75 k for that bottle. I don't like

EJ is going to bring the biggest Spenders that's and that can like like so a club might be like, yo, John Summit brings like Big Spenders every time and that's why we can like
afford the charts, okay? They don't care about ticket sales there versus like when I play a huge venue, like I say, like Brooklyn Mirage in New York, it's more about tickets because that's like, that's how they get them. That's so

So for people that don't know space like what what is space obviously ever in Miami? Yeah, let's
play. So the background of that club is that it's been an institution since the 90s and it's kind of like year for me to
marry an institution, a mental institution, pretty
much.
And so like all the European DJ and stuff like that. If you know like Psalm in Mirko Cro, the black coffee, they're kind of Legends for going super long and their sets and it's like one of the only places that has a 24-hour liquor license. So I get on at 6 a.m. and I'll play it at like 4:00 p.m. there and and then the crowd is slam packed the entire time.
Okay. So walk us through that. You go on at 6 a.m., you know, you're performing at space. Yeah. What's your like process before that?
My process is a
Legit actually like sleep up until I go to bed at. Like, 8:00 p.m. wake up at 4:00 have a couple shots of espresso, the biggest I think, like like the worst movie can do in Miami is pregame before going out because you know, we go out and then because then I still do an after party afterwards. Yeah.
Wait, you do an after party after space? Yeah. So isn't, is that like a pregame for the next night? Yes.
No. And I'll go for go through the next night. So yeah, I just did that with days. It's a Thursday. Yeah, I did that sir.
Our day and we kept it going to my place till like 8:00 p.m. and Monday.

And it's not like, like everyone else like, especially with DJ's is also formal on social media and not like, where I'm all about the party and all about. And I feel you guys are kind of the same way, but not giving a fuck that people are trying to do. Because when you go on social media or you want to go, you want to go to something that
Feels like it's authentic and no rules kind of exactly. So I can guarantee if we party we're gonna have a good time for sure.
What what's the goal in terms of like obviously doing clubs and all that but people sign residencies yeah it's not like what you want at the end of the day is to have a residence. Here you go. So that's not the goal for for me is throwing my
own parties because I've been like because I like I just did a huge party out and like outside of Nashville and like in the middle of these caves, which is fucking nuts.
All that. And so at the few thousand people came out to that. It's winter in the middle of a cave. Yeah, it's like two hours outside of Nashville and we had like a like you can bring RVs and camping and shit and we just like sent it for two days straight in there
and it's just a cave.

So it is a fuck ton of work like yes even though I do like party a lot and stuff. It's like I have to spend like 12 hours a day and shit on it. So there's no time for

And so I lived at home for a little bit and then they actually saw all the work and stuff that went behind it, you know, because I first I think you just fucking around, you know? I mean. Yeah. And and now they're my biggest fans. Like they've got a red rocks. Like, my parents will go out to the clubs in Chicago and I'm not even there and get a table and shit.

Because obviously, I mean, you guys have some like really big podcast. You get like for the really, they're going to be nervous and stuff
